BUDAPEST Musical fantasy at the Madách TheaterPremiere: 29 May, 2009 Two days before it’s premiere, the group had a practice show at the Palace of Arts. Here musical fantasy became obvious: dance as the ultimate in communication. Dance is body-talk, bodies talk, the soul goes to rest, but it exposes itself in all it’s detail, as if on a canvas. Dance is international, internationalist, cosmopolitan, a right of world citizens. Our constant contemporary is a celebration of losing the lost prize to the ballet stage of the opera. Dance: school. Experience about ourselves and about others. Dance is a partnership. Even the solo dancer isn’t alone, they only give the illusion of being alone. Dance is eroticism, and a flirt with everything. If we do it well, dance is a trance. Dance is poetry. One year in hell. 24 hour service. ![]() Photo by: Bojár Ádám, Kerengő Every movement is responsible for every other movement. To dance is simply good. Tradition and permanence. Clean and disciplined movements, which pass us on the stage with their own elegance. Elegant values, which tell their stories in a moderate way. Contact is pioneering, and looks to explore new musical fantasies. New road, another new window for the light. A window in which the theater and dance mixes colors. The surfaces of bodies show their states built on the throbbing of the music. Contact makes us feel the connection between music and body, draws hearable pictures. Discipline. Strength. Progressing together, just now at the Madách Theater. Danube or Tisza. Classical or contemporary. The meeting of movements. One world, in which the aesthetics of movement gives it’s unique light to dance. Body, soul and spirit fight a battle. As the curtain rises, as it shows it’s face, as Contact comes into our consciousness, we can feel it’s excitement, curiosity, desire to discover everything that is dance. |
