Jason Chan - Tai Chi Master
In the Festival`s transformational training led by Duncan Wong, creator of the international Yogic Arts synthesis system, the audience will explore the awakening of transformative change that pulsates at the core of our being. Following the mantra “Know Your Body - Know the Universe”, the intention of this workshop is to create an experience of physical enlightenment, the foundation of ancient higher mind principles.

Wong`s workshop, will examine the fine art of how to categorize various stance structures and posture mechanics in a choreographed sequence of movements, with an emphasis on the connecting motions that create the powerful flow.

Katy Appleton was trained as a ballet dancer with the Royal Ballet and English National Ballet School and then spent eight years dancing professionally with some of the major ballet companies. To balance the very extreme physical side to ballet she began to do simple breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques that helped her stay centred. It seemed a natural progression to her from dance to yoga.

David Sye is the creator of Yogabeats, which is a unique way to practice yoga. It is yoga with a difference, an eclectic mix of styles designed to accommodate all levels of fitness and ability. Rather than using fixed postures. Yogabeats uses “micro- moves”. These are continuous movements which do not lock off the muscles or disrupt the blood flow and increase flexibility. Yogabeats combines classic mobile yoga postures with the latest rhythmic and ambient world music.

The primary intention of the Mind Body Spirit Festival is to provide a congenial light-hearted positive environment for individuals of all gender and ages looking to experience fun, laughter, insight and inspiration in a very affordable safe community environment. Guest speakers from the USA, Canada, Australia, and Germany bring a broader and international flavour to the Festival.
